Christmas at the Pommer's

By far this has been our best Christmas! We were blessed by our family (and that inculdes our surrogate family.) My thankfulness and love for all these people is overflowing; I love you all and thank you for loving our family the way you do!
We took Eric and Ethan to our church's Living Nativity tour, and all Eric wanted to see was baby Jesus, even saying I want to give him a birthday present. I love hearing Eric say what the real reason for Christmas, and he proudly says "JESUS!" Andrew and I enjoyed seeing Christmas through the eyes of our children! We hope you have a blessed Christmas and a very peaceful New Year!

Eric turns 4

Oh my goodness, I am a mother of a 4 year old! Eric had his party today, on his actual birthday and could not have been more excited! We had friends from church, preschool, our playgroup, Eric's Godparents, and Uncle Scott and Auntie Diane from Texas (visiting for the holidays!) Eric got a lot of cool toys and he likes them all!

Santa visits...

On our anniversary Billy and Patty watched the kids so we could have a child-free dinner. While they had the kiddos they got a picture taken w/ Santa, this is becoming a Christmas tradition for us, which we absolutely love! Then since Billy and Patty's son is in the army and serving over in Iraq this season, they threw a party for the family in Brian's unit. They invited us to join and we got to the party just in time for Santa's big arrival! Eric was amazing while waiting his turn to sit on Santa's lap, but Ethan (like expected) didn't like Santa! Eric and Mommy made paper chains to count down to his 4th birthday (which is in two day, 22nd, oh my goodness!) and a paper chain for Christmas! Andrew and I are taking the boys to our church's living nativity on Saturday. We have taken Eric before but he was to young to get what was going on; but this year he knows why we celebrate Christmas. He yells it's Jesus' birthday! Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving with family! Before dinner while the turkeys were cooking Eric and I put up our christmas tree while Daddy was outside putting up the christmas lights; Daddy helped Eric put the star on the top of the tree. We are the first in our neighborhood with our lights on. Andrew joked how all the wifes passing by where asking their husbands why he didn't put up their lights; and the husbands were cursing our names! Hahaha. Andrew and I absolutly love this time of year, it's so warm to walk into the house see the tree and be reminded of what happened so many years ago. Grab a cup of something warm and sit in front of the fireplace. Our hope is that you have a joyful season, God bless you during the holidays and through the new year!

Preschool Fire Fighter Visit

Today I pulled into the parking lot and saw the fire truck and said to myself "Eric is so excited that they are here!" And he was! Eric's teacher asked me to take pictures for here because her camera batteries died right after the fireman showed up. Here are some shots of the preschool's fire truck in the rain.

Well, this didn't go as well as I planned it. We walked into the room and Ethan went hystrical because I was going to put him down. I was lucky to even get one good shot of him! Here are the two I thought were good, well the second one of Eric is a little off, but good of Ethan.

Preschool Field Trip to the "Tractor Store"

Eric loved this field trip, he's favorite part was the tractor ride w/ mommy and then there was the gift shop. Daddy wasn't suppose to be there but he pulled up shortly after we got there. Daddy needed to get a few items for our lawn care company. Eric got a mini toy tractor after he's ride on the BIG tractor and has not let it out of his hands since we've been home!

Happy Halloween

So, yesterday Ethan came down with the stomic flu and has been feeling yucky up until this morning. I didn't want to take Ethan out in our cold weather so I dropped Eric off with a friend to trick~or~treat with them (sending them with Ethan's bag also.) I got home from dropping Eric off and Andrew calls me and tells me he was feeling queezy and as I was talking to him my friend called on the other line. I hung up with Andrew and grabbed the other line, only to hear that Eric has just thrown up and was saying his "tummy hurt." Now this happened last year and Eric missed out on trick~or~treating. So now I have one little boy feeling better and the two bigger boys starting the whole thing; Oh, and tomorrow is my birthday! If I get this I am praying I get it on Friday! All I have to say is thank goodness Eric's costume is two sizes to big, so he can wear it next year, and I got a few pictures of them in their costumes!
