Christmas with the Pommer's...

Merry Christmas!


We had, Pictures with Santa, Nunnie (Patty,) Billy, on Christmas Eve some friends come over to play in the morning, All of us went to Christmas Eve service, Baked cookies for Santa, then off to bed! When we woke up Eric ran into our room yelling "It's time to wake up, Santa's been here, Santa's been here!" That was so cute to hear the excitement in his voice, reminded me of being a kid again! Then it was present time, it took us an hour and a half to open the presents; Only because Andrew wanted to have them open one at a time then take the toys out right after they opened them. Then Daddy made us homemade waffels with whip cream and strawberries, yummy! We are meeting some of our neighborhood group for dinner tonight, Then over to another friends April, Keith, Mary and Gage's for dessert... I might have to add more pictures after tonight! We hope all of you have had a quiet Christmas to enjoy with your loved ones~!

Eric's Turns 5 today...

5 years ago at 12:38p Eric come into our little family and blessed us early! Eric is such a special boy, and we are so glad God gave him to us! It's a wonderful time of year to have a baby, because it reminds us of the Special baby that was born all those years ago.

Round 1, then Round 2, Round 3...

Snow and I mean snow!
Round 1: hit the northern part of Western Washington leaving our house alittle sad with the dusting we got. But we have and still have a nice layer of ice. Leaving us at home to miss church

Round 2: Hit on Thursday the 18th and We got snow and I mean 4-5 inchs. Luckly Andrew got off work early, because all the banks were closing early because of the roads. Andrew didn't have to work Friday for the same reason. We did plenty of playing, which you will see the pictures below!

Friday and Saturday (until 1pm) we got a break; with the fear of the 3rd storm on the way Saturday night! The 3rd storm started around 1pm at our house. Lets just say traffic was bad and the stores were pack, not due to Christmas Shopping but of servival. Andrew, the Boys and myself meet at the hardware store. I thought since We are once again (second week in a row) miss church due to the weather. I wanted to tackle a project. I have been talking about painting the master bathroom, and so I did!

Round 3: Brought us in Fife (at sea level) 7inches and it's still snowing as I type and We are going once again outside to play in the snow. And on the eve of Eric's 5th birthday we are expecting the snow to last all night until 5pm tomorrow!

I have never seen this much snow in the Seattle area, and I have lived here 22 years. I'm not complaning at all, I love it and am hopefull for a white Christmas

Sweet Nap Time...

After dropping Eric off at Pre-K, I come home and put Ethan down for a nap. Well yesterday I guess he wanted to rock; so he got all his blankets and favorite stuffed animals and got all cozy. I walked into the room to wake him up expecting him to be in his bed, but found him like this! He's so cute, I just want to eat him up!

Eric's 5th Birthday party...

He's real birthday isn't untill the 22nd; but I like to give him a party at the beginning of December before all the holiday rush!

10 years ago...

Today is our wedding anniversary! I can't believe 10 years has come and gone, where did that time go!?! I fall more in love with my husband everyday and can't picture my life without him. He is truly amazing to me and our children. Andrew got me a special gift this year, it's a necklace (the picture below.) We are also planning on having an adult dinner next week!

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!

This is our favorite time of year, just the reminder of Jesus' birth and why he came to us on that cold night. Here's what our home looks like this year.

Thanksgiving...

Andrew's mom was so gracious to take both boys the night before thanksgiving! So Andrew and I crammed everything we could into that 24hours. here's the list of chores we did...
*old navy, bath and body works run
*clean kitchen, all three bathrooms, living room, dining room, master bed room
*home depot run for dowels (Ethan's closet), paint brush, Spackle, Christmas tree, outdoor Christmas lights, wreath
*run to the bank
*Famous Footwear and Target run
*Fix an ATM (Andrew did that one, while I watched
*Dinner at Claim Jumpers
*Movie at the mall (Four Christmases)
*Grocery Store run
*filling holes on the walls in all of our house
*slept less than four hours
*Transfers Christmas Cd's to ipod
*Andrew went to play football
*Do computer contest
*Touch up painted all the rooms in the house
*cooked two turkeys, stuffing, mashed potato's
*Put up the Christmas tree, and Decorated it
*Had dinner for 7 + 2(kids) family members; 9 for dessert
*recleaned the dining room and kitchen with help!
We have so much to be Thankfull for! We have a wonderful God who always loves us! We are celebrating our 10th wedding annivsary next week, We have two fantastic boys, a great extended family and surrogate family, We have a place to stay warm and food on our table, Great friends, Our health!

The Bet...

Andrew and I went out to dinner the night before thanksgiving and he got a 24oz porter house steak. I told him that he wouldn't be able to finish all of the food they brought him. Little over an hour later an half an onion ring and a full piece of pumkin pie later, Andrew was done. He could barely walk back to the car; I was sick from laughing so much!

Bye, Bye Binkies...

We are trying to get Ethan off his binkie, pray for us now! He loves his binkie, but has a blankie that he can't go anywhere without. I don't know if this is the best time but all we can do is try!

UPDATE:
day one...
Ethan has totally floored me, at first he had a huge fit and didn't take a nap. At bed time he asked for it only a handfull of times and understood that they were gone. No fight, and he hasn't asked for it today (so far!)

Kitchen Repairs...

So Andrew being the wonderful husband he is started off by trying to fix my hot water tap, when he ran into a problem. He had to call the manufacturer to get a part sent to us, so no hot water tap for now. But while he was under the sink decided to put in a new sprayer, well long story short he couldn't put it in and the old one was now broken. So at first we thought we were going to replace the whole sink, thankfully we didn't and just settled for a new faucet! Here are some pictures of the new kitchen faucet!

We were on a target run and when we pulled into the parking lot, there sat the oscar mayer hot-dog car. What a cute photo-op!
