Tea Party...

tea party Pictures, Images and Photos

Like I said in the last post; Abbey got her first tea-set from Aunt Rene and Uncle Gary for Christmas. Well, it's already being put to good use!!!

Ethan played tea party with Abbey this morning...

Then melt a mommy's heart... Daddy played with Abbey. He set it all up and even tried the pretend lemonade!

Annual Pommer family Christmas...

Andrew and I have been hosting the Pommer Christmas for a few years now. We normally have it Christmas eve; but knowing Andrew's cousins were coming into town for a short time, we pushed back the celebration! For a few years I have done a turkey, which is never a mistake! But last year we switched it up and did a ham, not doing that again! This year we did a tri-tip steak, YUMMY! The next question was how are we going to get 11 adults in the same room to eat??? Well, we did it! With the dining table pushed as close as possible to the side, then our kitchen table on the other wall; I borrowed a small kids table from my friend Karla, and you will see the result further down in the pictures!
Now on to usher in a new year! 2011 was a great year in our house, I hope it was for yours also!

Update...

We were having some troubles with blogspot and our internet, so we went to http://thepommerfamily.wordpress.com/

Updates on the kiddos...

Eric:
Has lost 4 teeth since May. 2 just since December 1st; just in time to sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"
Eric turned 8; I can't believe it!

Ethan:
Is enjoying his pre-k class. And upon his last dentist appt. he's permanent bottom teeth are ready to push the baby teeth away. (insert mommy's sad face here)

Abigail:
Is almost 9 months, and has a tooth about to show itself (like within the next few days!)
Today I looked over and she had pulled herself up to standing but hasn't done it again, and I wasn't quick enough with the camera!

Andrew has the next 5 days off and we are enjoying his time off! Andrew took both boys up to the mountains yesterday for some inter-tubing, they had a blast! Tomorrow is our Pommer family Christmas! Looking forward to great family gathering and a wonderful tri-tip steak!

some more 1st in our house!

After working very hard for about a week Abigail rolled from her back to her tummy. Now it's hard to get her to stay on her back. And she'll cry if she's on her tummy for an extended period of time. And then yesterday we tried organic baby oatmeal for the first time, I don't think she liked it! But we will keep trying, in a few weeks! She seems very content with her bottle for now!

Abbey rolling over...

And here's the first oatmeal adventure...

Here's a couple pictures...

Sunday after church

At least she's smiling, She doesn't like it right now!

Since Abbey started rolling this is her new sleeping position

No better way to say goodbye...

The weather was perfect, the company was just what Grandma Marion would have wanted. Even though she passed last summer, it was the first time back at her house since Andrew and I held her hand saying our final love yous and see you later. We then had a dinner with Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousin's, our kiddos, Father in law, Mother in law, and Grandpa Ralph. We then traveled to Lincoln Park in West Seattle to the ferry docks. You will forever be with us Gg, and I know you are watching over us.

projects...

I have to first off say I am from the south and big bows have always been around down there; we are just catching on up here! I have bought most of Abbey's hair accessories, but tonight after finding a free bow making tutorial I made my first bow! I think I might have a problem now, Abbey just might have a bow in every color now!

~One of the girls I used to babysit for Allyson is due with her first baby boy in just a few short weeks. So once again I underwent making a ribbon mobile for his room. I loved the ribbons I picked and for not having a tutorial again this time was much easier than the first time around!

Professional...

Yesterday I got the kiddos all dressed up for the first professional pictures! Ethan got tired of smiling, Eric wanted macho shots, and Abbey did great for her age! Just in time for Father's day.
Andrew, you are an outstanding daddy, you work so hard to provide for our home. I just hope I create the loving home you look forward coming home to! Your boys look up to you so much and love you so so much. Abbey, well I love it when she smiles at you, I see your heart melt. I am one blessed momma, you have sacrificed so much for me to be home with these three wonderful kids. I could not have asked for more~

Yummy...

I made this yesterday, we all love it, and it's so easy to make!

Here's what you will need and the directions, you will not be disappointed!

Ingredients
2 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar, plus 3/4 cup sugar
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping
2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry gelatin dessert mix
2 cups boiling water
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries
Whipped topping or whipped cream, to garnish
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

For the crust, mix the pretzels, butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Press this mixture into a 9 by 13-inch pan and bake for 7 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.

In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. Fold in the whipped topping, and spread over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until well chilled.

In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water, and allow to cool slightly. Add the strawberries and pour over the cream cheese mixture. Refrigerate until serving time.

To serve, cut slices and serve with a dollop of whipped topping.

It finally happened!!!!!

Eric FINALLY lost his 1st tooth! He didn't get his first tooth as a baby until he was 11 months old. 2 years ago the dentist said "oh, I'd give it six months and he will start loose them." You could see Eric's grown up teeth on the xray 2 years ago. But the dentist was a little off, by a year and a half. I was worried Ethan would loose a tooth before Eric. Eric's teeth have been on the slow side to come in and last month we noticed he was getting another set of molar's so I called the dentist office; I was shocked to hear that they were his 6 year molar's! A few days later Eric came running into our bedroom, Mommy my tooth is wiggling! So just shy of 2 weeks Eric has his little tooth under his pillow waiting a special visitor! We had been out at garage sales when he said "I just lost a tooth." I asked to see it, when Ethan said "Eric your mouth is bleeding." Mom I need a tissue, all I had was a baby wipe so that's what he used, atleast it was cold so it felt better! I can't believe my 1st baby is getting so big, only one month left of 1st grade and now he's getting his grown up teeth; but I couldn't be prouder of who Eric is becoming! We love you very much Eric~

Mother's day & a baby dedication...

As parents we dedicate ourselves to raise our children in a safe loving home with God's guidance. To raise them to know that not only do we love them but that The Creator of the Universe created them for a reason, and more importantly that God loves them more than we ever could.

The baby hand off, I love the expression on Patty's face

The christening hat was a gift from Mimi and Pawpaw, that can be Abbey's something old on her wedding day as a hanker chief.

I'm her God-Father

So blessed that God gave her to us

Prayer for Abigail Patricia... By Patty, how fitting for her to pray over Abbey since that is her namesake

One month...

Abbey, you have brought so much joy to us already! In this 1st month you have smiled in your sleep, started to giggle, rolled from your tummy to your back ( I think it was a fluke, but we'll count it!) Started sleeping 5 hours during the night, then wake up for a feeding then sleep another 3 hours. We love you little miss~
Update... Current stats: 9lbs 11oz 20 1/2 inch's
~~~right after birth Abbey lost weight (which is normal) she was at 6lbs 14oz, she has gained almost 3 lbs since then, can we say she likes her bottles!
