A quiet day turns painful...

So now that Eric is in school (pre-k) and with all the other activities we have Tuesdays are our only day to just be home; and for me laundry day! Ethan and I were heading down stairs for lunch, Eric a few mins. behind. I went into the kitchen while Ethan was still on the steps walking down. I heard him jump off the bottom step then he started screaming (turning blue from holding his breath.) Eric came down during the crying fest asking what was wrong. Right then I knew I would be calling the dr.'s office, thinking he just broke his foot. Over the next hour Ethan if he had to walked really slowly and didn't want to put weight on his right foot; oh and the bruise was already visable. We finally were headed to the dr. but first to drop Eric off at a friends (April) house. The whole time I'm thinking Ethan has broken his foot... not the case, thank goodness! X-rays and all Ethan is just fine! Now on to get Eric, once I open the door at my friends; April says "I gave Eric a black eye." Well, that's not true either, Eric gave himself a black eye. He was climbing up a book case to pick up a pet rock and it fell on his eye, leaving a nice shinier to show for it! So injuries in all everyone is doing just fine... well, mommy might need a metal health day!

First Soccer Game!

Eric's first game was almost a week ago, and I'm alittle behind on posting (sorry about that!) At this level of compition they don't keep score, but I'll say I'm very proud of all the Little Scrappers! Eric got an assist (if you don't know what that is; he helped another team mate get a goal.) We had fun sitting on the sidelines watching Eric work as a team! Enjoy the game!

Ethan's new adventure...

So on Thursday (Sept. 4Th) Ethan decided that he didn't like to wear his diaper anymore. So I just kept putting it back on him and then repeated the whole thing all over again. I sent Andrew on a "pull-up" run and we are no stress potty training Ethan! He has gone twice today, but he doesn't like it when he's dirty! Of course he sees Eric using the "big boy" potty, Ethan's Dr. said to go on his signals. Ethan will ask to sit on the potty and likes to read books while waiting!

Our Labor Day Weekend...

We had a laid back weekend, Eric was at Nonnies. Friday night I was able to join my mommies group for a Mommy's night out! Much needed time, we saw "Mama Mia," then off to Red Robin for Dinner and tons of talking! Saturday Andrew had to work, while Ethan and I had a lazy day at home. Sunday after church Andrew and I went back to Red Robin for lunch, oh so good! Eric returned mid-afternoon on Sunday, and then I got to work on sowing two blankets together for Andrew (he has been begging me for months to do.) So now it's Monday, errands to needing to be done, so the kids and I spent the morning in the car running from here to there! At dinner I decided to do some more sowing, but this time I made a table runner for our dining room table. I feel like I got a lot of stuff done this weekend but on the other hand like it just flew by! Enjoy the following pictures~
