Halloween...

Photobucket

Sorry this is late, but we had all of the pictures from Halloween and my 30Th party disappear off the computer and almost $100 later we have most of them back. Eric was Buzz Lightyear, and Ethan was a little Bat. This was the first year we all have been trick or treating. The past two years either both or one kid was sick with a tummy bug. It was a lot of fun to walk around our neighborhood and see Ethan want to carry his bag no matter how full it got. Our friends Keith, April, Mary, and Gage joined us and we walked for an hour and 45mins... we were beat!

Trip to the Dentist...

Photobucket
Yesterday was the Boys check up. Both got a clean bill of teeth health! Eric got x-rays for the first time, and he did really well in the chair. I asked the Dentist about Eric getting permanent teeth, because he's been acting out and just unbearable at times. The Dentist looked at the x-ray and said "oh yeah, the bottom front two are pushing up, and in fact one of them is already loose; and Eric is getting his molars." Eric is a year to a year and a half ahead of schedule on getting his permanent teeth. So it looks like the Tooth Fairy is going to be coming to our house sooner than we all thought!

Weekend Find...

I was on the hunt for something to wear from my upcoming 30Th birthday, yikes! So Ethan and I went down to Old Navy, where they were handing out little trick or treat bags with coupons in them. I noticed all the Halloween shirts were on sale for a $1.00; and that their costume (normally $22.50) were on sale for $5.00. I had a costume in mind for Ethan but he's just a little to tall for it, but it would work for one night, right! I picked up two Halloween shirts for Eric and two for Ethan then walked around the store looking for anything for me. I finally opened my coupon, $5.00 off... I looked for the catch of if you spend $25.00 or more; but no! I walked over to the costumes and found a bat costume 2t/3t for Ethan. While in line another lady handed me another $5.00 off coupon. So I then picked up a tube of lip gloss ($3.50e) Once at the register I walked away paying $2.74! This is the BIGGEST find I have ever gotten, I'm still talking about it a day later! So here's the price list of the items I bought!

3t bat shirt $10.50
3t trick or treat shirt $10.50
5t bat shirt $10.50
5t trick or treat shirt $10.50
2t/3t bat costume $22.50
lip gloss $3.50

Old Navy total before sale TOTAL = $68.00
Old Navy sale prices TOTAL = $12.50
Alise's Coupon's TOTAL = $10.00
Alise's final pay out! TOTAL = $2.74
(with taxes inculed)

Being a Mommy hurts sometimes...

So many of you have already heard that Ethan has given me a wonderful shiner, well here's the story behind it and the pictures so far! All Wednesday morning I was trying to clean up and slowly get the boys and myself ready to have lunch and then run Eric to pre-k. I had just finished putting on my make-up and walked into our tv room because Ethan was asking to go potty! (which is going well!) So I picked him up and put him on my hip as soon as we walked into the hallway he leaned back and headbutted me right in the cheekbone. I gently layed him down on the floor (which still blows me away I didn't just drop him.)I then was seeing white then black as I walked into my dark bedroom and started freaking out. Andrew was in the bathroom asking me what was wrong; I couldn't even talk just sobs came out. After a few mins. I looked up and Ethan was still laying on the floor (where I put him) rubbing his head saying "ouchie, sorry mommy." There was a bruise immediately. On the way home from picking Eric up from pre-k later that day, I noticed white spots and blurry vision, so i went to the eye Dr. they thankfully said that nothing was damaged in the eye, but the bruise would get worse and hang around for about 5-6 weeks. I still have no idea if my cheekbone is fractured or not; they really can't do anything anyways! If my eye still hurts by this Wednesday I have been told to get it looked at. Lesson = kids heads are hard, but a mothers love runs deep

Chocolate Chips Cookies and Pumpkin seeds...

Cookies: So Nonnie (Andrew's mom) gave us a Kitchen aid mixer, what did we do before this piece of equipment? I decided to make homemade cookies with the boys to surprise daddy.

Pumpkin seeds: Every year I can't wait to get the first pumpkin for our house to just make seeds. Eric is totally into carving the pumpkins this year; I told him we had to wait until it was closer to Halloween

Cookies:
