A day with our Nunnie

We drove about an hour to check on things over at what Eric like to call "Nunnie's small house." Since Patty (Nunnie) just returned from her summer mission trip, we wanted to spend time all together. It's a lot of work, but it has always been and will be for a little while longer with both boys in tow. We stopped by the house then went to the park/beach right down the road. While at the beach Eric got to get wet, which he loved and even Ethan got his feet wet! We noticed a blanket of rain coming our way so we got under a covered picnic area, where the boys ate their lunch. It's was a good thing because within minutes it was pouring buckets of rain. I got Eric in some dry clothes for the drive home and just as soon as I got him dry he was climbing the slide and soaked his dry pants when he slid down. Patty and I stopped for lunch, and to let Eric play a little more (I wanted to run him out.) Not getting much time to talk without correcting Eric on the way up, Patty and I got to chat on the way home while the boys napped. I can't speak for Patty, but we had a great time and will treasure our day with Nunnie!

Bunk Beds

We finally got Eric a big boy bed! And in a few years the boys can share a room! Eric loves climbing up and down the ladder, and he enjoyed helping daddy put them together! I still have to put up the curtian on the window that matches the bedding, Thanks again Auntie Holly!

We were playing on the floor in our tv room and like always Ethan was crawling around me and Eric was trying to get his attention. Well Eric accidently stepped on Ethan's hand a slipped falling into the ledge of the couch and started screaming. I thought oh my he's broken his nose. I ran and got him some tylenol and an ice pack. For the next hour I put the ice pack on his nose and made him blow his nose. No blood, and no hystrical crying while blowing and more important no swelling, and no black eyes! He was fine 10 mins after the horible ordeal! Thank God he didn't break his nose; it could have been much worse!

We went to a neighbor's house for a bbq. Before the bbq Andrew took Eric to the store and bought him a big boy bike! After the bbq we walked home and put Ethan down, and yes he slept through all the loud fireworks. Eric on the other hand didn't; so we took him on our front porch and watched our neighborhood light up. It started getting a little chilly so we went inside and watched them on our tv! I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday!

Our Church Family Picnic

Every weekend before the 4th of July, our Church has a picnic with games, blow-up toys, and this year a huge blow-up water slide. We have a family style service, which means no schools. During the mini sermon Eric runs up on stage and our Pastor says "well they run up during the worship, why not the sermon!" After getting Eric off the platform it was a little busy, since Ethan didn't want to sit in his stroller any longer. So we headed outside. Andrew arrived and we ate and then the boys went off to play, here are some pictures of our picnic!

The stairs...

Ethan has learned how to climb our stairs, we still need to teach him the proper way to go back down them. It's cute because he'll go up one or two steps and turn around to make sure I'm watching him and then he'll continue climbing up. He has made it up all our stairs with me right behind him making sure he doesn't fall! Here are some pictures of Ethan climbing.
